tux paint doodles because it super fun…
(the first one people REALLY seemed to like? SOMEONE BOUGHT A HEART LOCKET BECAUSE I JOKED ABT IT IN THE CAPTION??)
since so many people are asking for information on long covid, I might as well start from the most recently publicly released dysautonomia international videos (2022 conference) and work backwards, since the 2022 information on covid-19 is probably going to be more accurate than the 2021 or 2020 videos.
keep in mind:
- most long covid involves post-viral dysautonomia, which has always existed. it basically means your autonomic nervous system got damaged after having a virus. for learning about post-viral dysautonomia as a whole, you do not need long covid specific resources.
- BUT covid-19 does straight up cause brain damage and clotting problems in ways that might not apply to some/most other triggers of post-viral dysautonomia. covid-19 is pretty intense when it comes to long term damage to the body and is unique in that it can cause severe dysautonomia in a mild or asymptomatic infection. as in. you may never know you had covid-19, and might just wake up unable to walk one day, even if you were vaccinated. usually more severe of an infection = more likely to develop chronic illness. not with covid-19!
- AND covid-19 is more likely to result in post-viral dysautonomia than most other triggers. covid-19 is the largest mass-disabling event in history. right now covid-19 is probably the biggest trigger of dysautonomia ever. so the current average dysautonomia patient either got dysautonomia after covid-19, or had their dysautonomia become way worse as a result of covid-19.
for things relating to testing for or treating POTS or MCAS or small fiber neuropathy or autoimmune conditions or other dysautonomia comorbidities that pop up after a covid-19 infection, you do not need to look at covid-19 specific resources. for years it has been understood that many chronic illnesses involve risk factors followed by a trigger event, and in the case of long covid, covid-19 is the trigger event.
Help two disabled trans girls make it through July
Me and my wife had to completely drain both our bank accounts at the beginning of the month paying rent and back rent from last month. And we still have $675 in utilities and internet bills coming up in a week. I don’t know how we’re gonna be able to feed ourselves let alone afford our hormones and my wife’s Ozempic($185 per 4 weeks)
We’re already been out of hormones for weeks with not being able to justify refilling my prescription because of the financial pressure we’ve been under. We’ve both been completely cut off from any kind of familial financial support, mainly my parents essentially just telling us to “figure it out ourselves” when they know what we’re living on isn’t sustainable at all and not nearly enough to facilitate having savings for emergencies.
Meanwhile we’ve still had continuing hardships with my wife’s dental health, she’s still has over a dozen cavities, 4 chipped teeth and a broken impacted wisdom tooth that needs extraction as soon as possible. At this point she can only chew with 1/3 of her jaw very slowly and it really hurts me to watch her go through this every day
I’m trying to get a part-time job but currently all I’m being offered are internships that don’t start til the end of July/start of August and I still don’t know if there’s any chance of me receiving any sort of salary or compensation for the job I’ll be doing..

please help by reblog/sharing, we’re in a really really bad situation rn and I feel so hopeless
$343 / $1050
Please, we only have half a week to make the power bill and if we don’t pay it by then it’s another $100 fee for our power company getting a collection agency involved.
19/7 update:
We’ve received an email from our power company telling us that if we don’t have the power bill, including the additional fees paid by the 25th that they’re shutting off our power and adding a supplemental charge to the existing bill, forcing us to pay an upfront cost for the next two upcoming months as security for payment on future invoices. Our internet company also informed us that they’ll be shutting our internet off by the end of the month and getting a collection agency involved if we don’t have that bill paid by then.
We only need another $267 to make the power bill and $165 for the internet bill ($432 all together) to settle the charges before our already awful predicament intensifies, and we could have our personal processions sold off to settle the debt on the unpaid bills and fees.
Please, if anyone is capable of helping out, we would be incredibly thankful. Having this situation cleared up and being able to use our money to refill our prescriptions, put food on the table, and start dealing with my wife’s dental issues would be such a massive relief for both of us. Being able to go back on our hormones after almost 3 months and having all this stress settled before my birthday at the end of this month would genuinely make my year.$343 / $1150
time sensitive!
im making a smaller and shorter post about this because clearly the other one is too long and people are just ignoring it.
to summarise: im in film school, its private, therefore the government will not pay the full fee amount when they usually would for a university that isn’t private. i got in a scholarship and i worked really fucking hard to get in with no support whatsoever. my university refuses to let me pay off the fees after i graduate, in fact i cant graduate unless i pay them something. i have no savings and i set up a gfm in may as the due date was june 1st. my uni has extended the deadline to july 27th instead.
i need £5.6k and i havent even reached £1k yet. (right now i am £869)i set the gfm up in may and haven’t really gotten far.
the link to the gfm is here - i have until July 27th and im getting really desperate now
i’ve raised £1,852 so far (thank you so much) but again i don’t have a lot of time left - pretty much just a week atp
Sharecropping.
FYI if your employer does this, if they have done it for a long time especially, you and your coworkers could be owed huge amounts of unpaid wages and it would be an easy suit if there is a paper trail like this and your employer is placing strict requirements on your behavior while not at work. Employment lawyers generally work on contingency. Just food for thought.
instead of participating in “crab day” (which btw was started by transphobic fundie christians) and donating to a website owned by a multibillion corporation, you can affect real change by donating to me, a broke lesbian of color!

so there’s a very good chance i’m going to have pay my rent twice this month and i’m freaking out because of the email says we have to pay it within three days, despite the fact it was already paid. and while i’m going to do my best to make sure that’s not the case. between my being sick and my approaching birthday. please consider helping me out if you can. i’m doing all that i can. everything helps, thank you so much for your time.
hey, if someone could send me like 20 bucks, that would really help. thank you so much for your time.
